#ShearwaterHealth is excited to join the Decentralized Trials & Research Alliance (#DTRA) to increase access for all patient populations in clinical trials and research!
The historic alliance of over one hundred life sciences and healthcare organizations seeks to accelerate the broad adoption of patient-focused, decentralized clinical trials and research. #DTRA which launched December 2020, is uniting industry stakeholders, including healthcare companies, regulators, patient groups and research organizations with a singular mission to make clinical trial participation widely accessible by advancing policies, research practices, and new technologies in decentralized clinical research.
“The Shearwater Health team is excited to be a member of DTRA and help drive innovative approaches to clinical trial design and conduct in support of better options for patients”, says Kari Delahunty, MBA, President, Pharma/Life Sciences at Shearwater Health. “Patient optionality, meeting the patient where they are, is critical when designing a clinical trial. It’s more important than ever for healthcare partners and providers to understand the impact and need for DCTs today. We have an opportunity and responsibility to minimize the burden across the value chain with the right solution at the right time. DCTs are not an absolute solution but become a powerful tool in the overall clinical development toolbox.”
